How Immigrants Make America Great

Mawi Asgedom made waves at the Grant Park TEDx Talk, where he declared his vision: to change the conversation on immigration in the U.S. and the world. He shared his personal story and the experiences of many immigrants who have contributed to America. Asgedom said, “Immigrants make America better today,” by imparting rich values, fighting for this country, and creating a more prosperous economy through entrepreneurship.

Please, take a moment to watch this video and consider opening the dialogue on immigration in your home, classroom, workplace, or the community. It is important to demonstrate that all students have value and to acknowledge the contributions made to this country by diverse peoples, especially in an ELL classroom. #ImmigrantsMakeAmericaGreat
